RESPITE - BELMEAD FACILITY
June Splashes In with Sea Creatures, Stories & Celebration! 🌊
This month at Belmead, we’re diving deep into ocean life, movement, and cultural celebration! June’s activity calendar is packed with ocean-themed learning, creative crafts, and fun-filled outings.
From crafting baby sea turtles and jellyfish to exploring coral reefs and shark puppets, kids will immerse themselves in under-the-sea adventures while building fine motor skills and expanding their understanding of marine ecosystems.
We’re also celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day with art, stories, and cultural learning—including Turtle Island crafts, Métis Dot Art, and a visit to Bent Arrow for their community celebration.
Weekly trips to the library, Park Days, music and movement sessions, and Free Movement with Music add energy and structure to each week. Plus, we’ll wrap up the month with a Family Movie Night on June 27 at 5 PM!

ADULTS - PROJECT HOPE
This month we’re diving into self-care and hygiene with a Light Supports Skills Session focused on daily routines that help us feel confident, clean, and ready for anything! We’ll go over how to take care of our bodies with regular grooming, personal hygiene, and healthy habits—plus build our own personal hygiene kits to take home.

June Group Activity: Self-Care Skills Session
Join us this month for a fun Group Activity where we’ll bring out the Mario-themed Monopoly board and enjoy some friendly competition! This session is all about connection, teamwork, and a little bit of strategy as we roll the dice, collect coins, and race through the Mushroom Kingdom together.
Come ready to play, laugh, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon with your peers!
